Agnes Reid Mitchell, the second daughter, was named in full for her father’s mother, Agnes Reid. She sailed on the Kate in 1849 as a house servant, her age given as twenty-seven.1 Family records give her death as 1861. No marriage or death registration for her has yet been confirmed.
