Hannah Mitchell
1836–1849
Baptised at the family’s own Cambridge Street church, and dead at thirteen in the year the family left Glasgow.
- Born
- 1836, Glasgow
- Died
- 1849
Hannah Mitchell was baptised in 1836 — entered in the Glasgow city register on 16 June and at the Cambridge Street United Secession Church on 3 July, her mother written there as ‘Mary Kellan’.1 Cambridge Street runs off Sauchiehall Street, and the entries place the family there by that year. Hannah died in 1849, aged about thirteen, and is not on either of the Kate’s lists; she probably died in Glasgow before the family sailed.
